At just 9 years old, Petar was working in his family’s deli, fish and chip shop, and café.
He didn’t know it then, but he was learning the foundations of small business, customer service, upselling, and what it means to work smart no just work hard, long before his first official sales role.
Those early years sparked a passion he’s now built a career on: helping others grow profitable, values-driven businesses through sales that actually work.
Known today as The Billion Dollar Sales Guy, Petar has spent over three decades in the sales arena. Across that time, he’s trained thousands of founders and teams in more than 145 industries, contributing to over $11 billion in collective sales, through tailored strategies, proven frameworks, and sales education that actually works.
A university dropout, Petar got his start leading high-performing sales teams in the fitness industry. He later co-founded The National Sales Academy in 2002, earning his stake through results and performance, not investment.
He went on to become CEO of The Entourage, helping grow the company from a handful of staff to a team of more than 70. He then stepped into the role of Head of Sales and Education Development, where he built the sales systems the company still uses and teaches today.
Petar has been featured in Sky News, Smart Company, and Dynamic Business, and has been invited to tailor his sales methodology for brands like Mazda, Virgin, Westpac, Channel 9 and more.
In 2020, alongside his wife and business partner Annette Lackovic, they launched The Sales Institute Australia. Outside the boardroom, Pete is a proud investor, basketball coach to his son Braxton, and husband to Annette of 19 years. Now based in Western Australia, chasing the best weather in the country, he continues to travel nationally for events, training, and speaking engagements.
A lifelong Collingwood supporter (just walk into his office and you’ll see the memorabilia), Pete’s also a golf lover who hits the green every week, no matter where he is in the world. He once played quarterback in gridiron and still brings that same competitive edge into everything he does.
